It is another good thing to holiday on islands where calm and peaceful weather dominate when you are away from a piece of land. Those who enjoy island life, where life is calmer, the water and the sea are cleaner, usually think about how quickly the holiday passes. We don't think that the person who wants and loves that calm can ever give up again.
So what are the islands that can be preffered for the most famous holiday in Turkey ?
We give the first place to Bozcaada, which is known as the most tourist island. With its small boutique hotels, restaurants, traditional festivals and immaculate sea, it should be said that enough people go to visit in summer to get away from the calm and call it a crowd. It is the third largest island in Turkey. With the island's streets, Castle, Museum, wineries, windmills and art galleries, you can also spend your day efficiently apart from swimming. The most popular places to swim are: Aquarium Bay, Ayazma beach and Beylik Bay.
Another tourist attraction and Turkey's largest island Gökçeada! It is one of the rare islands in the world where drinking water is found. It is a quiet place where the greenery is dense, there is even a pond in it and agriculture is done. The City Museum offers a pleasant holiday with its taverns, restaurants workshops where natural and organic products are sold, and unique beaches. It is also the western end where the sun sets last in Turkey, and you can watch a unique sunset.
Cunda, formerly Alibey Island, is an island in Ayvalık district. It is a very pleasant island where old stone houses are repaired and turned into boutique hotels, where Greeks live and especially crowded in summer due to its close location around Istanbul. As a tourist attraction, you can see places such as Taksiyarhis Church, Rahmi Koç Museum, Satan's Table and Saatli mosque.
Kalem Island is one of the paradise islands in the Aegean, which is likened to the Maldives because of its sand and sea. It is a quiet, neighboring island of Lesbos, home to beautiful historical monuments among olive trees.
Cedar Island is the largest of a triple island filled with ancient ruins. Although the temple of Apollo is noted for its ruins of a theater and Necropolis(cemetery), it gets its main popularity from the beach of Cleopatra, as Cleopatra is also believed to have swum here. It is one of the must-see places with its golden yellow sand, picnic areas and clear waters, specially brought from Africa and Egypt
Marmara Island, the second largest island in Turkey, is the largest in the Sea of Marmara. It has many alternatives for those who enjoy exploring traditional village life, nature and the sea. The island, which is intertwined with nature and offers you opportunities to do sports such as trekking and hiking, offers a modest holiday intertwined with the public. On the beach covered with marble statues with Abroz and women's Beach in the resort of palaces, you experience the sea in a unique state.
